I don’t really leave reviews, but every once in a while the situation warrants it. Steve and his entire team are first class. We had them sod our front yard (with a ton of corners to cut in) and a WIFI irrigation system. Not only were they masters of their craft, but they did all the little things right. They were professional, they were completely in sync and efficient, and they cut no corners. It was honestly pretty impressive watching them do their thing. It’s not very often you see the owner of an outfit like this out there grinding with his crew, but he did. All day. My wife pulled in the driveway, said how much she loved the front yard and told me to get him to do the back asap. If I’m a betting man he’ll be out here within a week or so. ~ Joshua R

The guys at Sod Pros were some of the best I’ve worked with on home upgrade projects! Ethan came and met with me to provide a quote on completely redoing our backyard and his communication was prompt and accurate every step of the process. His quote was in line with others I’d received but I liked his ideas and trusting him came easily. He treated me like my project was important to him, and I’m sure it was small on the scale of what they regularly work on. The team got to work quickly and I never felt like things were delayed or put off. The result was immaculate and for the first time since we’ve lived in this house, we have a backyard that we can actually use. I am still absolutely overwhelmed with the excellent job Stephen Neal and the Sod Pros team did with the scraping/ leveling job prior to adding topsoil with root builder before laying in and beautifully sculpting the tiff tuff Bermuda. These guys were Pros from the beginning. I received multiple bids before selecting them for their professional approach - much more impressive than other bidders. Plus, Stephen was very flexible on the job itself, moving sod from one part of the yard to another ( not planned) at no additional charge. Be sure to select someone who uses tiff tuff and is a pro. You can’t go wrong with these guys. The whole team was great to work with. I would absolutely recommend these guys. ~ Tom N

Stephen and his team at Sod Pro installed fifteen pallets of Zeon Zoysia on September 11th. The installation went great. Stephen was careful to kill off the preexisting Bermuda grass well before the installation. The lawn was carefully prepared by removing the old grass and adding a topsoil composite. His team removed surface tree roots and leveled the lawn appropriately especially where a tree had been removed. His team returned several weeks later as promised to roll the lawn a second time. The lawn looks great and has received numerous compliments from my neighbors. Aside from offering competitive pricing, I found Stephen to be the most customer-focused contractor with whom I have worked. He prides himself in his responsiveness and meeting the customer’s expectations. I would most heartedly recommend Sod Pro should you need a new lawn! ~ Mike C

What a great company. Steven and his crew did a fantastic job. Having one company install our irrigation system, grade, bring in top soil, lay sod, mulch was the way to go and saved us money. Overall his pricing was very fair and lower than other quotes. SodPros cares about what they do, and I never got the feeling they just wanted to rush and get in and get out just to get paid. They were detailed and everything they installed was top notch Ive run across two sorts of contractors . Ones that care and ones that really dont. Extremely impressed with Sod Pros Landscaping! Stephen was very informative and great to work with to establish a plan to re-sod our yard. He made sure to address grading and draining issues I had, to ensure the yard would be a success. Also making sure that I understood what I needed to do to maintain the yard, from watering schedule, how to read if i need to water more/less, when to add fertilizer/insecticides, and when to level/top dress. His crew was top notch too. They showed up on time and were great to talk to. They know their stuff and wow do they work fast! The after service support is fantastic as well. Especially when I started seeing army worms 2 months after the sod was laid! He made sure to connect me with someone to take care of it ASAP! Sod Pros will be my choice going forward for all future projects and I highly recommend them to help with yours! ~ Doug N

Stephen, Daniel, Nick and the crew were so great to work with. Our yard needed a lot of TLC and they provided it. They worked really hard on the preparation of the soil and drainage making sure the sod would have the best possible chance of thriving. It looks great now but more importantly, I have confidence that come spring, we will finally see the lawns we have wanted since we moved in. Wow! Stephen and his crew took our new home backyard from a sometimes muddy/dusty mess to a lush green oasis! They treated our project as if it was their own. The process was not a one and done, it took three visits, first was the quote (below their competition) with a full explanation of what to expect. Next was to remove all of the weedy vegetation, smoothed and prepped the soil. And the third a covered truck from Super Sod, with freshly harvested sod arrived and the team went to work. Within four hours of arrival the team had covered 8000 sq ft laid out and cut in! A well oiled professional crew! ~ Doug D

A Great company to work with! Stephen and his team did an outstanding job on my zoysia install. He was upfront and honest with me. I had call several other places and he was the only one that came and looked at our yard. And every time I called him with question he would answered his phone. His crew paid attention to every detail and made sure that we was happy with everything. And he even stopped by on his day off to come over to answered some question and to look at the yard for me. I would give Steve 7 stars if I could but had to settle for 5! We moved to Simpsonville, SC two weeks ago from NC. When we first arrived, my wife wanted to have sod delivered and installed ASAP. She found SodPros using Google Maps and she received a call from Stephen Neal the same day. He then showed up a few days later, walked the property with my wife and gave us a quote before he left. Because of the rain we've had recently, it took a week for the sod to arrive and be installed. He had two crews show up and they went about their work quickly. They laid down a foundation layer of soil, raked it, laid the sod and even cut out places for our sprinkler heads where necessary. In less than two hours, we had sod that matched the rest of the yard that was flattened and cut to perfection. I HIGHLY recommend Stephen and his SodPro Crew for his responsiveness, friendliness, and the great product he delievered. ~ Samuel H

We removed several trees from our property. The shade and roots from the trees had damaged the lawn. After the trees were removed Stephen Neal’s company, Sod Pros Landscaping, repaired the failed portion of the lawn, 2,200 square feet. The crew prepared the soil, laid new sod, carefully edged the sod around existing landscape features and repaired a couple irrigation pipes necessitated by the tree removal. Stephen, Nick, and the crew did a wonderful job on our yard and with the pine straw and mulch. Stephen was such a great help and always willing to take my calls for any questions I had. The team were so kind, courteous and great communicators. Our youngest had a lot of fun playing peak-a-boo with Nick. Everyone was so helpful and willing to help us out since we were unable to take care of our lawn like we wanted with 3 special needs toddlers. I am thankful for them and the yard looks great. Sod Pros did a great job of installing sod, drainage lines and gravel to my front and back yard. From the start Mike explained the entire process, without over selling. Stephen & the crew did an AMAZING job! First & and foremost, they repaired, replaced, & repositioned irrigation. They prepped the problem areas that needed sod which included new dirt, tilling, & removing old roots & bad grass. The Bermuda sod placed on the hillside was pinned, and all areas were neatly butted & rolled. Finally, Daniel made sure all irrigation heads were properly covering the yard & programmed my box for appropriate watering. I couldn't be happier! ~ Laura W

These guys are awesome! The crew was super professional, honest, and FAST! The work preformed was stellar but the professionalism and knowledge these guys had is mind blowing. SodPros did an awesome job getting our back yard looking great again after we had it torn up due to a septic drainfield repair (this was expected and no fault of the septic guys, they also did great work). Our budget wasn’t that great because of the septic expenses but they worked with us to make it happen. Stephen didn’t let our limitations stand in the way of his pursuit of an excellent result.
